Sussex Rehabilitation Centre Out-patient service (Brighton & Hove)
The service provides assessment, treatment and advice to people with neurological impairment, including stoke, traumatic brain injury and Multiple Sclerosis. The objectives of the service are to improve physical wellbeing, functional status and decrease the care needs of patients. Orthotic appliances are provided where necessary.The service is for individuals living within Brighton and Hove and some patients from East Sussex. Out-patient follow-up is also provided for patients from East and West Sussex who have been in-patients at Sussex Rehabilitation Centre (Princess Royal Hospital, Haywards Heath). Out-of-area referrals are also considered.The service is for individuals with identified problems as a consequence of a neurological impairment who are over 16 years old.

Written referrals are received from GPs, hospital consultants and other health professionals in the community eg, the community rehabilitation teams.

Brighton General Hospital is situated on Elm Grove, BN2 3EW, near Brighton Racecourse. It is easily reached via the A23, A27 and A270. There are several disabled parking spaces at the centre. Alternatively there is a pay and display car cark on site.
