What does this service provide?
Who we are
We are a specialist team comprising a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, speech and language therapist and clinical psychologist.
What we do
We provide assessment and intensive packages of rehabilitation for children and young people (up to the age of 19) with complex neurodisability in the post-acute period of care.
We work closely with children and their families and carers as well as community teams and acute services to ensure their effective transition and rehabilitation back home and into the community.
We typically work with patients in the post-acute period following a neurological event. However, our patients also include those with more historic injuries including brain tumour, traumatic brain injury, childhood stroke and spinal cord injury, whose difficulties have escalated due to developmental change.
