On Monday 13 November, we proudly unveiled our Veteran Aware plaque at Brighton General Hospital.

The plaque has been awarded to us as SCFT have joined a group of over 153 NHS providers who have been accredited as exemplars of the best care for veterans, helping to drive improvements in NHS care for people who serve or have serve in the UK armed forces and their families.  We are part of a group of trusts who are leading the way in improving veterans' care within the NHS, as part of the Veterans Covenant Healthcare Alliance (VCHA).

Kit Lawlor, Security Risk Officer and Service Champion for the Armed Forces Network said: “It is a great pleasure for me personally to know that the Trust has accomplished the bronze accreditation and are now officially recognised as veteran aware. I feel this puts us in a good position for the future.”
