We are thrilled to announce that Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust (SCFT) has been honoured with the "Digital Organisation of the Year" award at the HSJ Digital Awards.

This prestigious recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of our teams in driving digital transformation and innovation in healthcare.

The award ceremony took place on 6 June at the Manchester Central Convention Complex, hosted by the renowned comedian Hal Cruttenden. It was attended by over 1,000 people, representing the 191 finalists. Colleagues from our Digital Team proudly accepted the award on behalf of the Trust.

Over the past few years, our Trust has embarked on a significant journey towards digital maturity, evolving from reactive adoption to proactive innovation. Initiatives like AutoPlanner and the Digital Innovation Lab have embedded a digital culture within the Trust and enabled us to share our expertise on a national level. By focusing on user-centred design, clinical safety, and collaboration, we have achieved tangible benefits such as better patient experiences, higher staff satisfaction, and financial efficiencies.

Siobhan Melia, our Chief Executive, expressed her pride: “I am incredibly proud that we have been recognised as Digital Organisation of the Year at this year's HSJ Digital Awards. This award is a testament to the great work our Digital team is doing to drive innovation and improvement across the Trust. It also recognises the empowerment of colleagues throughout the organisation to innovate and implement digital solutions that positively impact the care our patients receive and the experiences of our staff.”

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is focused on revolutionising service delivery and enhancing patient experiences. We have introduced several innovative digital solutions that streamline processes, reduce waiting times, and give patients more control over their healthcare journey.
