We are looking for volunteers to support Milk! Sessions in our coastal areas particularly the Chichester, Midhurst, Bognor Regis and Worthing - We would be happy to train volunteers from outside of these areas, but you would need to be able to attend the training at the venue below.
To apply you will need to be over 18 years old and have:
- a personal experience of breastfeeding or expressing breast milk
- good listening skills with a friendly and professional approach
- an interest in helping to support families to fulfil their personal feeding goals and journey
Our free 20-hour course will run weekly and will be delivered by our Infant feeding team. We will look at the many aspects of Infant feeding and will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to fulfil the volunteer role of supporting mothers in your local community.
Start date: 23 January 2024, for 7 weeks (course will not run in February half term)
Location of training: Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital (PO22 9PP)
You will need to complete all sessions, the exact timings and dates will be discussed individually with you during the application process.
After completing training and volunteer recruitment process you will need to be able to dedicate a few hours of your time each week to helping to support families within our drop in's for a minimum of six months.
