NHS to hold its Annual Members’ Meeting at The Ashington Centre and online

Everyone is welcome to join Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust’s Annual Members’ Meeting on Wednesday 22 September.

It will be held at The Ashington Centre, Foster Lane, Ashington RH20 3PG. Doors open at 3:15pm or you can join the meeting online via the Trust’s website: https://bit.ly/33PucXe. Due to current social distancing measures capacity at the venue is limited and anyone wanting to attend must register in advance by emailing: sc-tr.sctmembership@nhs.net.

At the meeting the Trust’s annual report and accounts 2020-21 will be presented. Chief Executive, Siobhan Melia and Chief Nurse, Donna Lamb, will talk about how the Trust has been maintaining quality of care through the COVID-19 pandemic whilst delivering the mass vaccination programme. The Chief Financial Officer, Mike Jennings will provide an overview on the finances. This will be followed by the Lead Governor’s report.

Before closing, there will be a presentation from Care Without Carbon, the Trust’s sustainable healthcare programme, including a preview of its new five-year strategy. Patients, the public and staff can get involved in its Dare to Care campaign – which aims to reduce carbon footprint and improve wellbeing.
