Physiotherapy for Adults

This includes Woman’s Health – Continence and Ante/Post Natal Assessment and Treatment

The service provides assessment, treatment, education/advice and/or management strategies for patients referred with conditions/symptoms associated with the musculo-skeletal system. These can be as a result of disease, aging, injury or acquired disability.

Departments offer:

  • 1:1 assessment, treatment, education/advice and /or management strategies
  • Group rehabilitation
  • Post fracture and post orthopaedic surgery rehabilitation
  • Hydrotherapy (some departments)

Interventions offered:

  • Progressive exercise therapy
  • Manual therapy techniques (joints, soft tissue and neural structures)
  • Electrotherapy - ultrasound, interferential, Transcutaneous Nerve Stimulation (TNS)
  • Acupuncture
  • Functional restoration programme to assist in the management of specific patients with chronic pain problems.

The Objective of Physiotherapy Services is to maintain/improve independence, restore function and support wellbeing using self management strategies and a range of evidence based interventions.

  • The Out Patient Physiotherapy service is for patients living in the Crawley/Horsham/Bognor localities
  • We provide treatment to help patient’s reduce pain, restore physical function and movement and general well being.

We are a team of Specialist Physiotherapists who treat patients with MSK conditions. We help patients manage long term and acute conditions, such as Chronic Low Back Pain. We can assess joint/muscle or nerve problems and will help patients with reduced mobility and post surgical patients.

We work in the promotion of optimum movement and physical well being.
