Inpatient Unit - Intermediate Care Unit, Lewes Victoria Hospital

Our 26 intermediate care beds at Lewes Victoria Hospital provide short term rehabilitation for patients aged over 18, with the aim of preventing unnecessary hospital admissions and supporting timely discharges from the acute hospitals.

The service is nurse and therapy led. On admission to the service, we complete a thorough assessment with each patient and a rehabilitation care plan is completed with them. Patient's medical needs are met by local GPs.
