Speech and Language Therapy for Adults
Speech and language therapists (SLTs) are allied health professionals. They work closely with carers and other professionals, such as nurses, occupational therapists and doctors.
In our work with adult patients, we can help with:
- Communication or eating and swallowing problems following neurological impairments and degenerative conditions, including stroke, head injury, Parkinson's disease and dementia

- How To Access:
Speech and language therapy operates an open referral system. We accept referrals from GPs and other health care professionals. Members of the public can refer themselves directly to our service. Referrals can be made by email, telephone or letter to their appropriate area.
