I am passionate about our NHS, its values and what it delivers to communities. I am keen to ensure that the voices and experiences of local people are heard so that the Trust can continue to innovate, develop, and improve.
I have an extensive background working and volunteering in the charity sector, predominantly in health and social care settings. I have experience of undertaking both clinical and leadership roles in a variety of services, including mental health, ambulance services, safeguarding and supporting older people in the community.
I have previously worked for the charities Age UK and St John Ambulance. I currently work for a Hampshire-based health and social care charity as their Head of Volunteering.
All of my previous experience has given me an insight into the practicalities of how the NHS operates and the challenges it currently faces.
I live in Arun with my wife and young daughter.
