I am delighted to be elected as the Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust Public Governor for Crawley. I have over 40 years' experience in banking and finance with my latter role prior to retirement as a board director of a challenger bank. This experience which includes governance and control will help to influence decisions made within the Trust.
I am passionate about helping people and I see this role as an opportunity to help make a difference within the local community by providing support to meetings to enable the Trust to be forward thinking in their approach and planning for the future.
I am currently an elected Councillor for Crawley Borough Council in Furnace Green and I understand some of the local challenges we are facing locally. I believe my background and my experience as a Councillor will give me a good opportunity to support and add value to the Trust.
