I have been a volunteer for the Trust at Hove Polyclinic for around five years. My dog, Doris, is registered with Pets as Therapy and we visit the clinic on a weekly basis.
Doris and I provide emotional and distraction support for those attending blood clinics, cardio, X-ray and physio. As a result, we are in direct contact with a wide range of Sussex Community clients and staff, who are uplifted by this experience and from the positive support from the Trust. I see this part of the Trust on a daily public level, emotions, and all.
I am very interested in the continued improvement of Sussex Community and how the Trust operates in general.
I am proud to be a part of the NHS, however small, and would like to do more if I can in my role as governor.
