Children's Enuresis / Bedwetting Clinic (Brighton & Hove)

This nurse led clinic aims to support children to manage and resolve persistent bedwetting if they are aged 5 years and over. The service does not have the facilities to accept children with diurnal wetting.Initially, especially for young children advice and support may be accessed through their school nurse. Our leaflet My Child Wets the Bed offers advice and contact details. After initial assessment we offer lifestyle advice and behaviour modification to implement new healthy habits and routines; may offer bedwetting alarms and can monitor, if GP agrees, treatment with medication.

How To Access

Bedwetting / Enuresis clinics
We have an open referral policy accepting written and telephone referrals for the School Nurse Enuresis Clinics.

In 2011 more than a third of referrals were directly from parents, and these will be asked to attend their GP for a health assessment to exclude serious or congenital factors contributing to bedwetting.

Our service is for patients who are registered with a Brighton and Hove GP.

The 3 bedwetting clinics are held in:

  • West area: Conway Court Clinic, Clarendon Road , Hove BN3 3WR
  • East area: Moulsecoomb Clinic, Hodshrove Lane, BN2 4SE
  • Central area: Children and Families Clinic, D Block, Brighton General Hospital, BN2 3EW
