Inpatient Rehabilitation Services at Midhurst Community Hospital

Latest news (Friday 15 April 2016) - Today we have started the process of temporarily winding-down 17-bed inpatient ward (the Bailey Unit) at Midhurst Community Hospital.

We provide 17 inpatient beds Primarily for the population of Midhurst, but also for residents of the surrounding area as far as field as pulborough , Petworth , Loxwood and Billingshurst. Our service is for individuals who require more intensive medical, nursing and therapeutic treatment, than can be provided at home, and do not require admission to a larger acute general hospital.Where possible we aim to help you reach you optimum level of independence to help you return home.We can help you manage long term conditions such as Diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, COPD, worsening chronic heart failure. Our service has access to specialist nurses Including infection control, palliative care, respiratory care, tissue viability, dermatology, heart failure and Parkinson’s disease.

How To Access

Referrals are accepted from the community from your GP or community nurse. If you are in an acute general hospital, the hospital will refer you to our liaison nurse.You’re GP, hospital or community nurse will contact either our liaison nurse or One call.

Parking and disabled parking is available at the hospital and is free. There are frequent buses to Midhurst town and the hospital is a short walk away from Midhurst bus station.
