The specialist health visiting service is for children with additional and complex needs and their families. The service is based with the doctors and therapists in the Child Development Teams, in four locations across West Sussex.
The service offers specific specialist support to children aged 0 – 8 years, and their families. Exceptions can be made for older children and young people. Your child should be registered with a West Sussex GP. The service works to the principles of the Early Support Programme.
We will help to make sure the right referrals are made to other services and signpost to appropriate services as required. We can also help you to manage your child’s sleep and behaviour. We offer a keyworking approach if appropriate and agreed with the family, and take a ‘team around the child approach’ to multiagency meetings.
Chichester, Crawley, Haywards Heath, Horsham
Referrals will be accepted from the Child Development teams, and from any health, early years, education or social care professional working with the family. Parents may refer their child to the service.
