Osteoporosis and Falls Prevention Service (Brighton & Hove)

The service provides specialist assessment and rehabilitation for adults in Brighton and Hove who are at risk of falls and fractures or at risk of developing Osteoporosis.
We aim to help people avoid falls and fractures, remain independent and feel more confident in daily activities. We offer this service within clinics or in people's own homes.
We are able to offer evidence based interventions including:

  • The Balance Blaster exercise programme

  • The Otago exercise programme

  • Postural Hypotension Management

  • Osteoporosis advice and management

  • Bone scanning for those at risk of fractures

The team includes:

  • Occupational Therapists

  • Physiotherapists

  • Therapy Assistants

  • Fracture Prevention Specialists

  • Falls Specialist Practitioners

  • Falls Specialist Nurses

  • Administrators

  • Service Manager

How To Access

The Osteoporosis and Falls Prevention Service has worked with a number of different services to develop an Osteoporosis and Falls screening form for use across the city. This form is simple and easy to use.
Any member of staff working with adults can use it, including health and social care professionals, the independent and voluntary sector.
