Online referral

Please complete the online self-referral form which is available any time day or night.

GP referral

You GP may be able to refer you to Time to Talk (with your consent) via a referral form including relevant information you have provided about your mental health.

Following your self referral or GP referral - your treatment may be telephone or digital appointments, workshops, courses or face to face appointments. Your therapist will explain what you can expect from us and discuss tasks which may help you make the most of your therapy (eg: reading, keeping a thought diary or doing a task).

Opening Hours

Our core therapy hours are between 8am and 5pm, however appointments and courses are sometimes arranged up until 8pm and arranged locally.

Office hours are:

  • Time to Talk North East Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
  • Time to Talk South Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
  • Time to Talk West Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

Messages left on the answer phone out of hours will be responded to on the next working day.

How to find us

Our Services are provided in a number of different locations. We will see you in a GP surgery, one of our bases, a local community hospital or community venue. Disabled access is available in every venue. Access via Bus services and parking will vary in each location.

Every Mind Matters: This is a national mental health campaign with NHS approved advice and tips on mental health & tips on coronavirus and mental health.

Get Self Help - On line psychological therapy resource offering a wide range of cognitive behavioural therapy based self-help information, worksheets and handouts.

Centre for Clinical Interventions - On line psychological therapy resources and general information about various mental health problems, including techniques that focus on a cognitive behavioural approach to managing difficulties.

Living Life to the Full - An on line course providing access to high quality, practical and user friendly training in life skills, based on cognitive behavioural therapy techniques.

Moodjuice - An on line self help resource designed to help you think about emotional problems and work towards solving them.

Moodscope - A social networking tool that helps treat depression by simply giving sufferers a way of getting help from their friends.

Northumberland, Tyne & Wear - Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust offer self help guides for download, including depression, anxiety, panic, stress and many others.
