Sussex Community NHS Trust is highly committed to reducing HealthCare-Associated Infections (HCAI).In 2006 the DH Health Act [revised 2008] issued a code of practice for NHS bodies to have appropriate systems in place to keep patients, staff and visitors safe from HCAI, so far as is reasonably practicable.

The aim of the Infection Control Team is to support Healthcare providers to comply with this code.

  • Decontamination of equipment
  • We also run a Link Champion programme
  • New builds advice

We cover the entire organisation including Community Hospitals.
