Stop Pressure Ulcer Day

Our Tissue Viability Teams are supporting this year's Stop Pressure Ulcer Day and are holding a number of events to educate the public and staff about the importance to prevent pressure damage and how to manage it effectively.

Brighton & Hove

From 8:30am on Friday 18th November our Tissue Viability Nurses will be manning a stand in the foyer of Hove Polyclinic to spread awareness to the general public about pressure damage.

Please feel free to visit the stand for an informal chat.

High Weald Lewes and Havens

Our Tissue Viability Nurses are working with colleagues from East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust and are holding two drop in events on Thurs 17st and Mon 21st Nov from 1pm till 4pm. It's an opportunity to find out about and try pressure relieving equipment available from East Sussex ICES to prevent and manage pressure damage.

Both events are being held at: Millbrooks, Unit 14a Diplocks Way, Apex Park, Hailsham BN27 3JU

Horsham

Join our Tissue Viability Nurses to stop the pressure and help reduce pressure damage. Sessions include:

  • Skin care & repositioning for carers.
  • Common skin problems in patients nursed at home.
  • Company presentations of skin care & pressure relieving products.

Aimed primarily at domiciliary care staff but anyone interested is welcome to attend. Join them on Thurs 24th Nov from 10am till 12pm or 1pm till 3pm at: Millenium Hall, Crawley Road, Horsham RH12 4DT
