Three more SCT nurses awarded Queen’s Nurse title

Three members of staff have been given the prestigious title of Queen’s Nurse by the community nursing charity The Queen’s Nursing Institute.

They were all recommended for the accolade because of their long standing work in their specialist areas of nursing.

Gill Walford, tissue viability nurse specialist, has demonstrated a commitment to high standards of patient care, learning and leadership.

Anne-Marie Hartley, quality and patient safety improvement nurse, has demonstrated a commitment to patient safety and a passion to improve the patient experience.

Penny Gough, senior nurse assessor, demonstrated a commitment to high standards of patient centred care and the development of community nursing through innovative practice.

The Queen’s Nurse title indicates a commitment to high standards of patient care, learning and leadership. Nurses who hold the title benefit from developmental workshops, bursaries, networking opportunities, and a shared professional identity.
