We celebrated our 2nd Research Conference on Tuesday 25 April welcoming over 100 delegates from our trust, and colleagues from NHS trusts, universities and research networks from across KSS. Our theme of ‘Working with patients and the public to innovate through research’ delivered inspirational speakers to promote discussion on how we work with patients, families and carers to ask the right research questions to provide excellent care and treatment.
Our staff said ‘I am starting to feel inspired with lots of ideas for research forming in my head’; ‘Great to catch up with past/present and feature NIHR MRes students’. ‘Love coffee breaks, who knew so many colleagues are doing so many interesting studies’. We intend now to use the conference as a springboard to further our ambition to be a leading NHS trust in research on community health care. We thank our Research, Development and Innovation Department for their commitment and our clinical staff for taking up the challenge to integrate research into clinical practice and to be the very best in what they do.
