It’s A Wonderful Charity!

It’s the most wonderful time of year (almost!) and today Sussex Community NHS Charity launches this year’s Christmas Appeal. We have lots of exciting activities coming up and we would love you to be part of them.

Here is a snapshot of what we have in store…

Virtual Trek to Lapland

With the support of the Care Without Carbon team, we are inviting SCFT staff and volunteers to take part in a Virtual Trek to Lapland. The journey will cover a distance of 5,438,957 steps, which we will accrue as a team, and we aim to get there before Christmas! You can follow our team’s progress and virtually cheer us along the way with your kind messages of support and generous donations. If you are a member of SCFT staff, please join us on our merry way! Christmas eCards

To reduce our carbon footprint and ease some festive stress, this year we are launching Christmas eCards! You can purchase a range of eCards, including our very own charity designs and some extra-special creations by the children who attend SCFT Nurseries (coming soon), with all the proceeds going to support staff, patients and volunteers at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.

Just Like A Star

Just Like A Star is a virtual sky in which you can donate to place a virtual star. With options to leave a message, name and photo, your star could be dedicated to someone as a ‘thank you’ or in memory of a loved one. Although the starry sky is being launched in the run-up to Christmas, the live platform will be there permanently – providing the opportunity for a star to be added whenever you like.

Crimbo Cookie Competition

Saturday 4 December marks National Cookie Day (yum!). We are launching a Crimbo Cookie Competition that’s FREE to enter and offers you the chance to win a fabulous prize! What are you waiting for?! Learn more and find out how to enter.

Festive Friday

Another date to remember is December 10, which will be Festive Friday! We encourage SCFT staff and volunteers, along with our community, to dress in a festive way – however this looks to you! You can inspire your colleagues to get into the Christmas spirit while giving back to your local NHS. We invite you to make a donation of £1 per person through our JustGiving Appeal and fancy dress to impress!

Quizmas

It’s Quizmassssssss! Yes, it really is, with our Quizmas quiz! You can gather your team in person or virtually and have some fun with Quizmas. We have put together a quiz so you don’t have to! Visit our website to download the quiz from December. If you would like to make a voluntary donation, all contributions to our JustGiving Appeal will be hugely appreciated.
