League of Friends of Horsham Hospital are celebrating their 60th Birthday at the annual Fete – Saturday 18 May

The League of Friends of Horsham Hospital has been raising funds to support the work at the hospital and health and care in the community for 60 years.

The Friends raise funds with the help of many local organisations and their team of dedicated volunteers. They run events such as the annual Hospital Fete and attend local community events to raise funds. Many local people have also been kind enough to leave the Friends a Legacy in their will.

Through their generous support the Friends have provided much needed equipment to improve both patient and staff experience. In the past year, various items have been purchased for Horizon Unit (the in-patient ward), Minor Injuries Unit, X-ray, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, musculoskeletal and wheelchair services.

Join the fun at Horsham Hospital Fete – Saturday 18 May

From 1pm till 4pm the annual Horsham Hospital Fete is taking place in the main hospital car park – the Fete is open to everyone.

This year will be extra special as the Friends are celebrating their 60th birthday.

Opening this year is Sylvie Blackmore who hosts Radio Sussex’s Sunday lunchtime show. Sylvie started on hospital radio 30 years ago and is involved in GP management in the area.

There will be plenty of cake and many stalls to purchase items including garden flowers, the Tea Bar, second hand books, plus you can find out more about local NHS services provided from the hospital and within the community. Pop along also for a friendly chat.

Parking is available opposite Horsham Hospital in Collyer’s College car park.
