In seven weeks’ time, Team SCFT will be taking part in one of the South East’s largest running events, the Brighton Half Marathon, to raise funds that will help our staff and patients.
Now in its 31st year, the Brighton Half is a runner’s panoramic delight, with the course traversing many of Brighton’s famous sites. Starting and finishing on Madeira Drive, our runners will be passing the Brighton Palace Pier, Royal Pavilion, West Pier and British Airways i360 - not forgetting the glorious sea views and breezing past the colourful beach huts of Hove!
Our 15 runners will be raising funds that will help us to continue providing grants to teams across Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. These grants will be used to improve the physical and mental health of patients, staff and volunteers. This might be through improving equipment and facilities, supporting staff development, creating better care environments and advancing our understanding through medical research.
