SCFT have achieved Level 2 Future-Focused Finance accreditation

(L-R: Suzanne Robinson, Ierain Makarios, Lily Stevanovic, Jamie Bewick, Sheila Stenson)

Fantastic news from our Finance team - they have just become the first team in the South East to receive Level 2 Future-Focused Finance (FFF) accreditation. FFF is a national programme designed to improve NHS Finance, supporting the delivery of high quality patient services. The programme includes national and regional networking events and talent development initiatives, and engages Finance staff at all levels of NHS organisations.

The Level 2 accreditation was formally presented at FFF's Regional South East Value Maker event on Thursday 23 January, with Finance staff from across Surrey, Sussex and Kent in attendance. The award was presented by Suzanne Robinson, FFF's National Lead, and Sheila Stenson, Director of Finance at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust.

Ierain Makarios, Lily Stevanovic and Jamie Bewick accepted the award on behalf of the Finance team.

SCFT were the first organisation in the South East to receive Level 1 accreditation, and our Finance team's commitment to growth and innovation ensured that we were also the first to reach Level 2. The FFF assessors were particularly impressed by the Trust’s commitment to developing Finance apprenticeships and career pathways, along with the team's effective financial training programme for managers and clinicians.

The team plan to press ahead and apply for Level 3 accreditation - the highest level - later this year.
