Our Brighton & Hove based community neurological rehabilitation team (CNRT) won an award on Friday (28 March) at the Sussex and Surrey Proud to Care Awards.

The CNRT team secured the 'team communication award', and were recognised for their drive to improve the way they communicate with service users and how they provide information about their service and obtain patient feedback.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Nicola de Courcy, CNRT occupational therapist, said: "We are delighted to win this award. As a team we are committed to communicating with our patients and regularly gather their views and experiences to help guide further improvement. We feel this award recognises our dedication to our patients."

The CNRT multidisciplinary team developed a welcome pack and information leaflets for all their patients. The materials were designed in collaboration with patients and relatives and were recently published and are available online.  In addition, the team have made a commitment to gather views and record experiences from patients to further improve the patient experience.
