Health chiefs set to announce plans

Health chiefs are inviting residents of Lewes, East Saltdean, Peacehaven and Newhaven to have their say and hear about future plans to local NHS services.

Two public meetings are being held in Lewes and Peacehaven where bosses will discuss their vision to boost local services including community and musculoskeletal services.

Sussex Community NHS Trust (SCT) has been awarded the contract by NHS High Weald Lewes Havens Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to take on community services including those at Lewes Victoria Hospital from 1st November.

Sarah Perry, the CCGs clinical lead for community services, said: “Feedback from local patients and GPs had highlighted some of the difficulties faced by community services and some inconsistencies.”

The two meetings on Wednesday 21October at Meridian Centre in Peacehaven and Wednesday 2 December at Lewes Town Hall runs from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
