This event is for SCFT staff interested in research, and our local collaborators.

Keynote speakers:

Professor Annette Boaz
Professor of Health Care Research at St George's University of London and Kingston University. Annette has more than 25 years’ experience in supporting the use of evidence across a range of policy domains. She has undertaken an international leadership role in promoting the use of evidence. As a founding editor of the first international journal in the field she has recently published a new book on evidence use, ‘What Works Now’. She has a particular interest in quality improvement, patient involvement and implementation science in the NHS.

Professor Stephen Peckham
Director of the Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) for Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Stephen is the Professor of Health Policy and the Director of the Centre for Health Services Studies at the Unviersity of Kent. He is also currently Director of the Department of Health's Funded Policy Research Unit in Commissioning and the Healthcare System (PRUComm), a collaborative research unit with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the University of Manchester.
