Nursing Operational Manager

Health and education is the pinnacle of a successful society and the NHS itself is a way of life.  NHS has opened a lot of doors to me throughout my nursing career giving me the opportunity to become the nurse I became today.  Its given me opportunities which I wouldn’t have had in my country where nurses don’t have any chance to advance.

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust (SCFT) is the best thing that could’ve ever happened to me, it’s one of the best organisations I have ever worked for and a place where I want to spend the rest of my nursing career.  I love my family within Responsive Services and I wouldn’t change my job for anything in the world.

It’s very difficult to name just only one hero as to me, everyone who works within the NHS is a hero but if I would have to name one, it would be my manager Nikki Field who I have a lot of respect for. I have learned how to be a good leader and I have managed to overcome my fear of leading – I can say that I became a very confident Nursing Operational Manager which I would not have done without her support. And let’s not forget my wonderful team at Responsive Services who are such an amazing team to work with – we have gone through lots of ups and downs during the past years but proved that being strongly bound as a team and having leaders who are there for us, we arrived where we are today.  I am extremely proud of my team which has been highly praised by our patients, their relatives and SCFT management

By reaching its 70th birthday, it proves that despite many battles and bruises throughout the years the NHS has managed to stand still and has become stronger than ever, a service which many people can benefit from for free and let’s hope for a much brighter future. Long live the NHS!

Responsive Services will be celebrating NHS 70 birthday by organising a bake off competition and exchanging recipes - so there will be lots of cake and tea!
