The NHS makes us feel privileged to work as part of a team of dedicated, compassionate and caring staff every day, who provide care, support and advice to patients and their families and carers.

The NHS has provided great care to all our families, this has had a positive impact on their recovery and wellbeing and in some cases, its been lifesaving.

SCFT particularly, provides excellent high quality patient-centred care, allowing us to feel proud of being part of a great organisation where we are valued members of a team.

The Trust’s vision encompasses respect, dignity, compassion and care, and this should be at the core of how patients and staff are treated – not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because patient safety, experience and outcomes are all improved when staff are valued, empowered and supported.

Our NHS heroes would be all staff, teams, colleagues, peers and patients we’ve had the fortune to work with throughout our careers.

Celebrating the 70th birthday of the NHS is poignant, and allows reflection on the NHS service provided to us all. It’s a truly remarkable service, and the teamwork and its dedicated staff, means that the NHS has a huge impact on the people it serves every day.
