As a Milk! Breastfeeding Peer Supporter, I have first-hand experience of one of the positive aspects of care in the community.

The value of positive feedback from the mothers, when their breastfeeding problems are resolved, is unsurpassed!

I began as a volunteer three years ago and I’m passionate about my role. I am also passionate about the NHS as a whole.

My family and I have benefitted from NHS support all of our lives. From curing childhood illnesses, enabling us to remain healthy, and helping me to care for my own parents at the end of their lives.

I feel that as a volunteer, I am giving back to the NHS for their continued care and support. And because of my experience I can appreciate the value of care within the community and at home.
