Breastfeeding - MILK! Infant Feeding Team (West Sussex)

MILK! Is the name for the work we do to support infant feeding and promote breastfeeding in West Sussex.

MILK! Includes a specialist team that works closely with health professionals, children and family centres, and community and voluntary organisations. We act as a resource for staff and provide Infant Feeding training, to support all families and increase the number of babies who are breastfed.

This team includes Ellie Elkins infant feeding lead, Elaine Fox infant feeding coordinator, and Judith Cartwright Infant Feeding Specialist (Health Visitor).

Within each of our Health Visiting teams, a trained professional is working to support the work of MILK!.

We are here to support you as we know that some days may not be as easy as others, so come along to one of our drop ins.

  • Breast Feeding Peer Support Drop Ins across West Sussex
  • Peer Supporters are local mothers who have breast fed their own children, and have been trained to support other mums. Many have overcome a number of common breast feeding issues
  • Come along to one of our groups!
