Parking and accessibility

There is free on-site parking, including disabled bays.

The site is wheelchair friendly and the building has step-free access.

Facilities

Tea, coffee and a small selection of snacks are available on site. There is an independent café called GK’s which serves a variety of food and drink and is part of the school that is on the same site.

    This service assesses and provides high-tech communication aids for spoken communication for children and adults who meet the NHS England eligibility criteria.

  • Chailey Rehabilitation and Transition Service

    This service is a highly specialist, multidisciplinary service providing assessment and intensive packages of rehabilitation for children and young people.

  • Clinical Support to Chailey Heritage Foundation

    This service provides clinical support to Chailey Heritage Foundation (CHF) – a charity that provides education and care services for children and young people.

  • Activities of Daily Living (ADL) clinic

    This service is provided by a multi-disciplinary team who support children and young adults under the age of 19 with complex physical disabilities who are experiencing problems with activities of daily living.

  • Assistive technology clinic

    This service supports children and young adults under the age of 19 with complex physical disabilities who are experiencing problems with activities of daily living.

  • ENT and oral difficulties combined clinic

    We are a multi-disciplinary team providing support for children and young adults under the age of 19 with ear, nose, throat (ENT) and/or oral motor difficulties.

  • Respiratory combined clinic

    We are a joint clinic between a consultant paediatrician in respiratory diseases and a consultant paediatrician in neurodisability. We deal with respiratory problems in children and young adults under the age of 20 with complex physical disabilities.

  • Community posture clinic

    We are a multi-disciplinary team providing support for children and young adults under the age of 20 who require a postural management review or assessment for a single piece of postural management equipment.

  • Dental Palatel training therapy clinic

    We are a specialist service, assessing oral difficulties and making appliances to help children and young adults under the age of 19 who experience difficulties with speech, eating, drinking and saliva control.

  • Dietetic clinic

    We provide help and support for children and young adults under the age of 19 with dietary or nutritional concerns. We also provide an annual review for all individuals being fed by a gastronomy or nasogastric tube to ensure their intake is nutritionally adequate.

  • Eating and drinking management clinic

    We provide help and support for children and young adults under the age of 19 who have significant eating and drinking difficulties as a result of motor ability impairments or sensation around the mouth, face and throat.

  • Functional vision clinic

    We support children and young adults under the age of 19 with disabilities and visual impairment, providing advice and strategies on the promotion of functional vision in everyday situations.

  • General joint surgical clinic

    We support children and young adults under the age of 19 with complex physical problems, where clinical issues that need a surgical opinion have developed. We primarily deal with the issues of nutrition, feeding and bowel management.

  • Movement assessment clinic

    Our services focuses on improving mobility, with the goal of improving functional abilities in children and young adults under the age of 19 with neurological disabilities.

  • Neuropathic bladder clinic

    We specialise in neuropathic bladder management, providing advice, management and treatment programmes for children and young adults under the age of 19.

  • Neuropsychology service

    We are a psychology-led service, which aims to address the cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural difficulties experienced by children and young adults under the age of 19 with complex neurodisabilities, in particular those with an acquired brain injury.

  • One Day Specialist Communication, Access and Mobility Potential (SCAMP) clinic

    We are a multi-disciplinary team providing support for children and young adults under the age of 19 who have complex medical and physical needs requiring assessment, or a review of how they use electronic assistive technology.

  • Orthopaedic clinic

    We are a multi-professional clinic for children and young adults under the age of 19 with complex physical disability who require advice or treatment from an orthopaedic surgeon.

  • Orthotic clinic

    We are a multi-disciplinary team, providing support and treatment for children and young adults under the age of 20 who have been prescribed an orthosis after clinical assessment.

  • Paediatric and young adult spinal clinic

    We are a multi-disciplinary team providing support for children and young adults under the age of 19 with complex physical disabilities, including curvature of the spine.

  • Sussex Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (SASBAH) clinic

    We are an advisory service for adults over the age of 16 with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus.

  • Upper limb clinic

    We are a clinic run by a team of specialist occupational therapists, who provide a full upper limb assessment service to promote function and independence, for children and young adults under the age of 19

  • Rehabilitation Engineering Service

    This service specialises in the provision of engineering support and products to children and young people with complex physical disabilities where standard, commercially available, equipment does not fulfil their need.

  • Chailey Clinical Services

    This service supports and enables children and adults with complex neurodisability in a safe, nurturing environment, promoting good health, and optimising function and quality of life.

  • Chailey Outpatient Services

    This service provides a range of specialist outpatient clinics for children with complex neurodisability, which are an essential element of the holistic support we offer.

  • Bluebells Short Breaks

    This service provides a nurse led, planned respite stay for children and young people in Sussex with complex and/or fluctuating health needs.

  • Nursing Services at Chailey Clinical Services

    The experienced nursing team at Chailey Clinical Services (CCS) work across the Short Breaks Service and the Residential School Nursing service, supporting children and young people with complex neurodisability and their families.

  • Speech and Language Therapy at Chailey Clinical Services

    This service provides specialist support to help children and young people with complex neurodisabilities and physical disabilities maximise their potential in communication, eating and drinking and oral skills for speech and saliva control.
