Important advice before visiting our hospital wards

At this time of the year, we often see higher levels of illness in the community, from common coughs and colds through to influenza and pneumonia. We can also see higher levels of illness caused by norovirus, the most common stomach bug in the UK, which can cause vomiting and diarrhoea in people of all ages.

To help us protect the vulnerable people in our care, please don’t visit our locations if you have illnesses such as these. Please call our services if you have any queries about whether you should attend for an appointment or if you plan to visit a relative or friend in our care. From time to time we need to limit the visiting hours in a particular location to help contain the spread of an illness.
