What does this service provide?

Who we are

We are a clinic for children and young adults under the age of 19 with complex physical problems, where clinical issues have developed and need a surgical opinion. Our team comprises a consultant paediatrician in neurodisability, a paediatric dietitian, a paediatric speech and language therapist and a nutrition nurse specialist. A visiting surgeon from Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital also forms part of our team.

What we do

At your appointment, we will discuss the reason for your referral with you and develop a full plan of action, organising any relevant investigations. If necessary, we may undertake a physical examination.

Our experts in nutrition can also advise on nutritional and feeding problems in the context of disability and we can help you access a local specialist service, reducing the need to visit a hospital.
