Allied Health Professionals

We have a lot of allied health professional opportunities on offer at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust, including dietetics, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, podiatry, radiography, speech and language therapy, and therapy support. There are roles available across our adult, specialist, and children's services.

Our allied health professionals make a real difference to patients, providing crucial health care services within the heart of our community. They work in patients' own homes, hospitals, schools, clinics, care homes, primary care environments, hospices, with the homeless, inpatient settings and provide planned and urgent care in communities.

Allied health professionals use a holistic, patient-centred approach to assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation. What matters to each individual patient is key.

The multi-disciplinary teams that make up the allied health professions play a crucial role in helping patients maximise their potential, improve their health and wellbeing, and prevent illness and hospital visits.

Additional Clinical Services (health care assistants and therapy technicians)

Join our NHS family as a healthcare assistant and make a real difference every day. Healthcare assistants make sure the patient experience is as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Joining can also be the stepping stone into many other NHS roles.

Not every role requires previous experience; we'll train you on the job, supporting you to be the best that you can be.

We have vacancies in our community hospitals across the county, as well as with our community nursing teams who support people in their own homes.

Medical and dental roles

Our medical and dental colleagues work across a range of services including:

  • Urgent Treatment Centres
  • Paediatrics (child development and specialist neurorehabilitation)
  • Adult rehabilitation
  • Diabetes
  • Palliative care
  • Other services in which medical staff are involved in delivery are intermediate care, virtual wards, respiratory medicine and chronic fatigue services
  • Special care dentistry and emergency dental care services
