We want to hear from you ...

Tell us what you think about our services, what we are good at, where can we improve, and what matters to you?

All feedback will be shared anonymously wherever possible, but if you have any questions about this, please ask.

Send a message to your loved one

We know it can be difficult keeping in touch with friends, relatives and those you care for while they are in hospital, especially during these challenging times. So we want to do everything we can to help.

We have iPads on all of our wards so patients and families can stay in touch via a video call. You can pre-book a time to speak to your loved one through our Patient Experience team by emailing sc-tr.messagestopatients@nhs.net or by calling them on 01273 242292. The team will arrange for a member of ward staff or one of our volunteers to contact you to arrange the date and time of the call and to be there to help your loved one with the technology and to set up the call if required. Please be assured that we are adhering to infection control guidance and making sure the iPads are cleaned before and after every use.

The Patient Experience team is also providing a personal messaging service so friends and families can email messages, photos, grandchildren’s drawings etc. to their loved ones. The team will arrange for messages to be printed off and handed to our patients and for videos to be shared with them on our iPads. Please email sc-tr.messagestopatients@nhs.net or call 01273 242292 for further details.

When contacting us, please tell us the patient's name, the hospital/ward they are staying on, and your telephone number.

Compliments, comments, complaints and information

Please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS)/Patient Experience team. They will be very happy to help.

Friends and Family Test

Have you been given a Friends and Family test card?

The NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT) was created to help service providers and commissioners understand whether patients are happy with the service provided, or where improvements are needed. It's a quick and anonymous way to give your views after receiving NHS care or treatment.

More information on the Friends and Family Test can be seen on this short video.

Please complete a Family and Friends Test survey here.

You Said, We Did

All feedback is shared anonymously with the service involved. Services use the feedback to create a You Said, We Did poster to display in their local service, clinic or ward which demonstrates how your feedback has been listened to and the developments which have been made as a result.

You can see the latest example of one of our You Said We Did posters here.
