Fundraising

The League of Friends aims to provide help and equipment for the comfort and well-being of patients, their relatives, and staff. They also contribute towards buying needed technical apparatus for professional use in the hospital.

One recent project the Friends supported at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust was an X-ray machine that cost £150,000.

The Friends raise funds with the help of many local organisations and their team of dedicated collectors. They run events, such as Christmas and Easter Fairs, Quiz Nights, Street Collections, and regular Book and "Good as New Sales" to raise both funds and the Friends profile. Many local people have also been kind enough to leave the Friends a legacy in their Will. These, together with donations from grateful patients and relatives help to support the hospital’s major development projects.

Information:

The Friends is a Registered Charity, No. 274855.
